Why Not Try Fishing
Fishing is an enjoyable hobby or activity for many people. It can be done on any body of water. From a small pond to an ocean. Fishing is not only relaxing, but it also provides a source of food for the angler and his or her family depending on Which type of fishing you take part in.
Why is fishing is an enjoyable hobby? Because it offers a break from the stresses of everyday life and provides relaxation. Angling can be done by anyone because there are many different types of fishing to choose from, including deep-sea fishing and freshwater fishing. Fishing also provides food for the fisher and their family which makes it beneficial in that way as well.
Sea Fishing
This has always been a popular hobby in the UK, being an island we are surrounded by oceans. This is a great way of supporting a healthy diet whilst getting exercise and partaking in a hobby. Depending on which part of the UK you fish from, you can catch Pollack, bream, cod, and all other wonderful eating fish. Please do be sure to check the minimum size guides set out by the federation of sea anglers.
Coarse Fishing
Again, a very popular hobby, whether fishing lakes, canals, rivers or ponds, a wide variety of fish can be found to include Roach, Rudd, Dace, Eels, Bream and more. Normally fished with a traditional rod and line, poles or “whips” have become more and more popular.
Fly Fishing
This has always been considered as a bit of a posh person fishing. you for all intense and purposes are casting an artificial fly to a showing fish, normally Trout or Salmon.
I must admit, it’s quite the adrenaline rush when you hook a fish this way, I personally have caught many other types of fish on the fly including sea fish.
Carp Fishing
In recent years, carp fishing has become my passion. Yes, I have become one of the “mud pig” hunters.
Carp fishing can be a very expensive game, the amount of gear you can buy is endless and sometimes it feels as though a new product is released daily. For this type of fishing, you can use corn and so on however I prefer to use handmade baits by a company called Torbaits They make some fantastic products, most of which can be used for other types of fishing too.
